Bright Horizons at Baldwin Park

At Bright Horizons at Baldwin Park children grow from curious toddlers into explorative preschoolers, guided by knowledgeable child development professionals who understand the balance between nurturing developing minds and caring for tender spirits. Parents go to work knowing their children are happy, safe, and well cared for; and children move to the elementary years socially prepared, excited to learn, and well-versed in the language, math, and science skills they’ll need to succeed.

Bright Horizons at Baldwin Park is located on a private campus designed with state-of-the-art features, including a 21st Century computer lab and a heated swimming pool. There is also a secure, courtyard-style playground that serves as an extension of the classroom and provides for a fun and challenging environment. The school offers flexible programs for children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years, plus a full service school-age program that includes Summer Camp for elementary students.

When you come to Bright Horizons at Baldwin Park, you can expect:

A Proven Curriculum.

Children graduate from our programs ready for kindergarten and beyond. Hands-on educational activities encourage exploration and discovery, prompting learning milestones in language, science, math, and social skills.

Professional Staff.

Our experienced teachers are child development experts who meet our own professional standards as well as those of the state, and who have the training and insight to both guide and nurture your child.

A Strong Parent-Teacher Community.

Where educators and families work together to ensure each child’s needs – and potential – are being met.

Peace of Mind.

Safety, security, and cleanliness standards exceed all state and local guidelines. Our own stringent WeCare policies and practices dictate careful protocols to nurture children and keep them healthy and safe, allowing parents to leave them in our care with complete confidence.

At Bright Horizons, we also recognize that children learn at different rates and in different ways. An important aspect of our curriculum is to continually track each child’s developmental progress with ongoing evaluations and documentation. This allows us to regularly assess skills, to partner with parents to create goals for their child’s growth and learning, and guide every child towards the next developmental step.

Our state-of-the-art Bright Learner system enables us to track every child’s ongoing progress and keep parents up to date via daily communications, weekly planning forms and periodic family conferences. In addition, Bright Learner also uses Teaching Strategies GOLD™ the premier tool for online developmental assessment of young children. This resource allows us to share children’s progress towards developmental checkpoints and to provide an online portfolio that includes anecdotes and photographs. It also offers parents meaningful activities for helping their child learn at home.

As natural extensions of our core daily curriculum, Bright Horizons at Baldwin Park offers a variety of enrichment programs that make use of special materials and unique spaces within the center, all designed to enhance children’s learning and experiences. These enrichments complement the Bright Horizons curriculum, The World at Their Fingertips, and are included in monthly tuition. Enrichments include: Growing Readers, Handwriting without Tears, Everyday Mathematics, Computers/Technology, Growing Scientists, GardenWorks, ArtSmart, Music, Dance, and Movement Matters to name a few.

Bright Horizons at Baldwin Park also offers several enrichment classes such as swimming lessons, Kinder Dance, soccer, and playball. The classes are based on the children’s interests and provide an opportunity to explore new interests and develop new skills.

Through exploration and language, a loving faculty, and friendships that begin in infancy, children who come to Bright Horizons at Baldwin Park build a strong foundation for a lifelong interest in learning.
