Hamburger Cupcake

This hamburger is sweet!

It’s Hamburger Month! Let’s celebrate! When your kids want burgers for dinner, knock their socks off with these unexpected dessert treats!

What you will need:

  • Yellow cake mix and the ingredients needed to make 24 cupcakes
  • Brownie mix and ingredients listed on the box
  • An 11×17 inch bar pan
  • Sesame seeds
  • Yellow, red, and green icing
  • 2 ½ inch biscuit cutter

Combine the yellow cake mix according to package directions for cupcakes. Fill each cupcake pan 2/3 full.  Top with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Bake per package directions. Let cool completely.

Combine the brownie mix according to package directions and spread in an 11×17 in. bar pan. Bake the recommended time. Let cool completely.

cupcakes1Now, slice the top of the cupcake off using a serrated knife. Set top aside. Cut out a brownie round with the biscuit cutter. Place a ribbon of green icing around the outside edge of the topless cupcake. Place the brownie round on top of the green icing. Place a ribbon of red icing around the edge of the brownie. Drizzle yellow icing on top of the red to resemble mustard. Place the top of the cupcake back on top and there you have it! No fries needed with this yummy hamburger cupcake!
