Wow, it’s hard to believe that Orlando Family Magazine is already celebrating its 5th anniversary! November traditionally correlates with a feeling of thankfulness and our team is beyond thankful that, because of your support, this publication continues to grow as Central Florida’s free, trusted source designed to inform, serve, and enrich local families with parenting ideas, fun activities, and a wide variety of invaluable resource guides.

I personally would like to acknowledge Eva Kelso, Publisher of Orlando Family Magazine. As mom to two daughters, Eva was in search of a family magazine that she could depend on for family activities, events, camps, schools, and reliable parenting information. Unable to find a resource to meet her needs, Eva focused her 15 years of marketing experience to launch Orlando Family Magazine with content contributed by experts across parenting-related fields, such as education, entertainment, health, technology, philanthropy, and more. Now, just five years later this November, our magazine marks its 57^th issue!

To this day, I am genuinely impressed that Eva identified a need and had the courage to create a solution to the benefit of many in the form of this monthly print and digital magazine. I began working with Eva and Margie Sloane, OFM’s former Editor, in the company’s infancy stage as a contributor and, nearly three and half years ago, transitioned into the role of Editor and Social Media Director. Ultimately, Eva’s family-focused vision took her career in a direction she never imagined which, in turn, made my career aspirations come true… all thanks to our readers, advertisers, and supporters.
