Ingredients (makes 12 pops)

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • Large freezable fruit choices, such as: bananas, kiwis, strawberries, mangoes
  • 12 cake-pop or thick lollipop sticks (6” long)
  • Assorted toppings, such as: chopped pecans, cashews, pistachios, mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, coconut

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt and honey. Place bowl in freezer for 5 minutes to thicken.
  2. Slice fruit into large pieces that will fit onto sticks. It is recommended that strawberries remain whole.
  3. Prepare desired toppings; i.e. chop nuts, toast coconut, etc. Divide into separate bowls.
  4. Insert sticks into chopped fruit pieces.
  5. Dip fruit stick into chilled yogurt mixture; use a spoon to coat evenly.
  6. Sprinkle desired toppings over yogurt-covered fruit.
  7. Place prepared pops onto a wax paper covered baking sheet. Set in freezer for 2 hours or until yogurt is frozen.
  8. Serve and enjoy. Or store in freezer bags for 1-2 days.

Thick Greek yogurt is the best for this recipe. Select brands made with milk and live active cultures and avoid those containing fillers and additives.
