In her second year at Baptiste Orthodontists, Dr. Giau Tran is combining her storied education and experiences to provide high-quality patient care.

An active member of the community, Andre Baptiste, DDS—founder of Baptiste Orthodontics and Baptiste Dentistry for Kids—has created a name for himself on and off the screen.

For Baptiste, dental care is more than just a set of braces and a cleaning, it’s a lifestyle. Through his YouTube channel, Andre the Farmer, he explains how to grow healthy and nutritious fruits and vegetables right in your own yard.

As Baptiste Orthodontics continues to grow, Dr. Tran, DMD, MSD has been a great addition to the team. With her extensive background in dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Tran has already made significant contributions to provide exceptional care—landing her a spot amongst our 2024 Top Dentists.

Dr. Tran has a long history of education as she started her post-secondary education journey at University of Central Florida where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences. From there, she attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale where she earned her dental degree with the High Honor.

Dr. Tran went on to Saint Louis University and earned her certificate of orthodontics and a master’s degree in dentistry. Dr. Tran is also one of the distinguished orthodontists who have achieved board certification in her field.

Most people would stop there, believing they’ve learned all they needed to know—but not Dr. Tran as she continues to educate herself on constantly advancing technologies and techniques.

“Being a board-certified orthodontist and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) provides access to exclusive resources, educational materials, and peer-reviewed research,” says Dr. Tran. “I subscribe to and read orthodontic journals and blogs during my free time or between patients. These publications from colleagues provide valuable insights into the latest research, clinical studies and emerging trends in the field.”

Dr. Tran is a team player who knows that to be the best she can be, ongoing learning and collaboration are key. She is committed to learning from her colleagues and contributing her own insights to enhance their collective expertise.

“As we all know, Dr. Baptiste is a legacy in our community. He is a trusted leader and a great mentor. His respect and support have always been evident in our partnership,” says Dr. Tran. “Despite being at different offices now, Dr. Baptiste and I make it a point to stay in touch and meet for lunch regularly. This ongoing communication ensures that our patients receive consistent and high-quality care. By maintaining clear communication and aligning our treatment plans, we uphold the continuity and excellence of the care we provide.”

As the primary orthodontist for Baptiste’s Windermere and Orlando offices, Dr. Tran specializes in both traditional metal and ceramic braces as well as clear aligner treatment such as Invisalign and ClearCorrect. However, her real superpower comes not from her academic studies and storied experience but from her own personal motivation. She truly cares about each and every one of her patients and finds satisfaction in positive patient outcomes.
