Enzo Cunanan

Over the summer, Trinity Preparatory School student Enzo Cunanan repeated as the National History Bee Champion, after which he was named the International History Olympiad and International History Bowl middle-school world champion. At the Olympiad, Cunanan earned five gold medals and one bronze.

Hamilton Murrah & Caitlin Barker

The First Academy seniors Hamilton Murrah and Caitlin Barker (pictured with Principal Garry Sullivan) were named Commended Students in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. Just 34,000 students nationwide qualified for such status based on their scores for 2015’s PSAT, which was taken by 1.5 million students.

Vrinda Madan

In October, Lake Highland Preparatory School senior Vrinda Madan was selected as one of two U.S. delegates to represent Plan International at the United Nations (U.N.). Joining the “Because I Am a Girl” delegation, Madan made her voice heard at U.N. Headquarters, U.N. Women, UNICEF, Nickelodeon and MSNBC, to name a few.

Cassidy & Savanna Schenk

Billed as the DJ Sisters, Orlando’s Cassidy and Savanna Schenk aren’t just turning heads for their professional DJ services—they’re doing the same with their charitable work. In addition to using their birthdays to raise money and supplies for Palmetto Elementary School, they also donate more than half their DJ earnings to those efforts.

Ciara Cummings

An Orlando native who’s currently a senior at University of South Florida, Ciara Cummings was selected to receive a 2016 UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship. Outside of school, Cummings acts as a caregiver for her father, who has epilepsy, and she’s also active in many campus organizations.
