Restaurant news from throughout Greater Orlando
• Self-proclaimed tequila aficionados are rejoicing at the news of Epcot’s newest culinary endeavor. Choza de Margarita is a walk-up style dig offering authentic bites and frozen and stirred drinks to hungry park-goers.
• The Glass Knife has opened its doors in Winter Park. The restaurant features lots of baked goods from cakes and doughnuts to a few savory dishes as well.
• The Hourglass District is bustling with activity. While work continues on the Hourglass Market, Hourglass Brewing and a Peppino’s Organic Italian Kitchen and Pizzeria are also joining the neighborhood.
• The Nova restaurant in Ivanhoe Village closed its doors for the final time after approximately a year and a half run.
• Local brew duo Michael and Benjamin Dees of Dees Brothers Brewery are in talks with the city of Orlando to open a new taproom off New Hampshire Street in College Park. No lease has been signed yet, but their plans include a single-serve operation and a distribution center for Central Florida’s thirsty patrons.
• Paddlefish restaurant in Disney Springs has reopened for business following a massive overhaul of the name, menu and interior stylings. Formerly known as Fulton’s Crab House, this new approach blends old favorites with new options and offers live entertainment on a nightly basis.
