Hosted by the Eating Disorder Network of Central Florida (EDNCF), this 7th annual fundraising walk brings awareness to the community regarding eating disorders and body image issues. Proceeds from the walk go to the EDNCF Treatment Scholarship fund, which provides scholarships to Central Floridians who need help paying for the treatment of their eating disorder or body image issues. Contemporary Visions of Frantz Zéphirin: Haitian Mystic

Frantz Zéphirin is one of Haiti’s leading contemporary artists. His paintings, laden with Caribbean pattern and color, feature diverse subject matter on history, politics, the environment, religion and Haitian-Creole culture. The Wyeths and American Artists in Maine: Selections from the Collection of the Farnsworth Art Museum

As a source of inspiration, Maine has played an important role in American art and culture since the 19th century. The Farnsworth Art Museum holds one of the foremost collections of paintings by artists in Maine, including work by George Bellows, Robert Henri, Marsden Hartley, Childe Hassam, Fitz Henry Lane, Rockwell Kent,John Marin and three generations of the Wyeth family. This original exhibition, organized for the Orlando Museum of Art in conjunction with the Farnsworth Art Museum, also celebrates the 100th anniversary of Andrew Wyeth’s birth. OMART.org

Dinosaur Invasion

Discover what life was like millions of years ago when dinosaurs roamed the earth. This exhibit features lifelike prehistoric creatures throughout the 50-acre botanical garden. Bo Bartlett: American Artist

Bo Bartlett’s multi-layered narrative work falls within the tradition of American realism as defined by artists such as Thomas Eakins and Winslow Homer to Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth. This exhibit presents some of his large-scale oil paintings, featuring scenes from his childhood home in Georgia, his island summer home in Maine, his home in Pennsylvania, and the surroundings of his studio and residence in Washington. The Black Figure in the European Imaginary

This exhibition considers the manner in which the visual arts of Europe imagined black people during, before and after the 19th century. In contrast to the over-simplified or unabashedly racist caricatures often found in American visual culture of the same period, blacks in 19th-century European imaginings were frequently depicted as exotic, beautiful, romantic and alluring. The Bride Elect—Gifts from the 1904 Wedding of Elizabeth Owens Morse

This exhibit presents some of the gifts given to the daughter of Charles Hosmer Morse when she married Richard Millard Genius in Chicago in 1905. Elizabeth was the industrialist’s first child and only daughter.
